The Path!

Tuesday 4.05 p.m.
We had a path at the start of Spring, but I dug it up, and then it got covered in weeds, and I dug it up again, and again. Now we have a path once more.
I never did as much digging as that in one day before, Jack. Much better than prostrating. Much better!

I say!

Wilson the gardener is very impressed with your diggings.

Must be soul destroying, to keep redigging the same patch. Instead of digging up the weeds my old man would sprinkle petrol all over it, and light it. Do it at night for an extra frisson.

I discussed this issue with Wilson, the gardener, and he told me that it's all about one word...dung!

He's had the same problem in his village. The neighbours are so jealous of his good crops that they pour their night soils on his paths, and later they (the paths) sprout.

He said you should tether a violent animal close by.

I don't believe that the examples of the animals that he mentioned actually exist. I think he may have been on the dagga at the time.

Mingin' And Albert? The pathetic diggings are good for my arrogance. My uselessness at gardening is unsurpassed. No one else could put in so much effort for such little result. The whole gig is some kind of Spanish metaphor. Hope this helps. Hotboy

Don't know I'm a pretty useless gardener. We could be at a draw.

Path work is hard, things just keep growing.
